In the weeks leading up to Chanukah Cheder Ohr Menachem – Crown Heights was abuzz with preparation.
In addition to the mivtzoim preparations (tanks etc.), every class presented a unique presentation at the annual ‘Chanukah Nachas Ovent’ – “Evening of Nachas.”
This year’s theme was ‘Hashem’s Army – Tzivos Hashem,’ where every child had a chance to shine on stage and express his talent.
3rd grade formed a choir with their melamed Rabbi A Chazzan and Hatomim Davidi Ben-Maas.
4th grade took part in a halacha Chidon. Talmidim showed great fluency as Rabbi D Bryski -their melamed- tested them by ‘cold calling’.
5th grade prepared a play titled: ‘Today’s Maccabees’ with the assistance of Rabbi Y Overlender and Hatomim Chagi Hilel, and their teacher R’ M Huss
6th grade built Tzivos Hashem exhibits, bringing concepts to life, with their melamed Rabbi M Sherr.
7th grade produced a video named: “It’s All in the Hands of the Children,” with Hatomim Shneur Urian and their principal Rabbi Ma Yusewitz reliving the children’s role in the days of Chanukah.

The evening concluded with ‘Rank Promotions’ as soldiers received their new ranks, rand cards, and upgrade certificates from the Ohr Menachem Base Commander and principal Rabbi M Yusewitz.
All inspired to continue this final battle and bring Moshiach now!
