Boston Marks Gimmel Tammuz With London Guest

Over 200 men and women gathered on Wednesday evening for a Gimmel Tammuz Farbreingen which featured Rabbi Shmuel Lew from London as a guest speaker.

The event was organized by 28 Chabad centers from across the greater Boston and central Mass and was held at Beth Menachem Chabad of Newton.

The evening began with Rabbi Moshe Bleich welcoming the large crowd and introducing Rabbi Chaim Prus, who led the recitation of the Rebbe’s kapital and tehillim for Eretz Yisroel. Following this, a video of the Rebbe was played, holding the audience’s rapt attention.

Rabbi Lew captivated the audience with a talk on the significance of having a Rebbe and how a person’s connection to the Rebbe can enhance their understanding of themselves. Through many personal stories and interactions with the Rebbe, Rabbi Lew emphasized that learning the Rebbe’s Torah is key to truly connecting with him.

Rabbi Mendy Krinsky concluded the evening by inviting everyone to join a chassidisher farbrengen. During the farbrengen, Rabbi Lew spoke about transmitting the connection with the Rebbe to our children and shared experiences from his yechidus before leaving on shlichus and his first trip to Russia in the early ’80s.

The food and refreshments were catered by Chani’s Deli from Worcester.
