A new Sefer published by Rabbi Shmuel Zajac, a Magid Shiur at the Yeshivah in Morristown, explains the complex topic of Amira Lenochri on Shabbos—requesting a non-Jew to perform work forbidden on Shabbos.
Titled “Yesodei Hashulchan Vezikukei Orosov,” the new sefer focuses on the Alter Rebbe‘s rulings regarding Amira Lenochri on Shabbos.
The author, known for his in-depth Shiurim and scholarly dissertations, explains the foundations upon which the Alter Rebbe based his rulings in the Shulchan Aruch, and also uncovers the novel insights that can be gleaned from them.
The new sefer is decorated with approbations from leading Rabbis and Halachic authorities in the US and Israel.
Rabbi Asher Weiss, a renowned Posek in Jerusalem writes, “the greatness and extraordinary depth of the Shulchan Aruch Harav are well known . . . few scholars are successful at grasping this depth fully. I was therefore very pleased and impressed with how the author explains these complicated topics so thoroughly and logically.”
In an especially enthusiastic approbation, Rabbi Meir Heisler, Rosh Yeshivah of Yeshivas Emek HaTalmud in Jerusalem, praises the Sefer as “an incredible innovation in our generation,” and adds his own scholarly comments.
The sefer is especially suitable for Yeshiva students, Kollel yungerleit, and Rabbonim who wish to learn the Halachos of Amira Lenochri from the Alter Rebbe’s Shulchan Aruch in depth.
The Sefer is available in bookstores and at seforimdeals.com

I am very happy to hear the great Talmud Chucham has given his wisdom to us in a book format.
A Rabbi like this doesn’t just put out a Sefer for Kovod or as of habit. This Sefer must had taken years and many people were involved.
Thanks to everyone and of course on top of the list Bal Hamichber!
Amazing work by Rabbi Zajac now he needs to also make an English version. Hatzolocha.
May you continue to grow M’Chayil el choyil!

I am Honored to be one of his acquaintances. A true contributor to our community.
Can this be purchased in Eretz Yisroel?
I read only the introduction and it is already clear to me that this sefer is unique and one of a kind. I don’t know of any other sefer that has such a thorough and in depth analysis of the Alter Rebbe’s Shulchan Aruch laws of amira lnochri. Having heard of the stature of Rabbi Zajac I’m sure I will not be disappointed when I go and buy the Sefer and get to look at it;s inside. A must buy for anyone involved in the sugia or anyone who is interested in getting involved.
What a distasteful comment. Rabbi Zajac is a celebrated Magid Shiur in morristown, who has who taught hundreds of Bochurim over the past 30 years. Do you think he needs to be taught the Lubavitch Mesorah!
BTW can you elaborate on the Mesorah in learning Peshat in the Alter Rebbe (or Amiro Le’Akum)? I didn’t know. Which Lubavitcher Rav can give me this Mesorah?
I will BTW let you be aware, that one of the most widely used Sefer in Lubavitch circles on Shabos and Taharo, actually does not have aany Lubavitch Haskomos.
Wow this long in coming. This is a really complex topic. HaRav Zajac is a real Talmid Chochom, is just the man to tackle such a topic.
To my understanding, this is not a halacaha sefer, it’s more of an iyun into the alter rebbe’s shita. Rabbi Zajac is not a Rav and isn’t coming to paskin.
This isn’t a “guide to Amira lenochri for dummies” it’s a sefer expounding on the Alter Rebbes rulings. It’s not a Halacha Lemaase sefer. And is Rabbi Zajac not Lubavitch enough for you? Also I assume you meant “mesora” and not “messura”.
1) Rabbi Zajac himself is a very chashuva lubavitcher T”ch.
2) there is really know specaial chabad “mesoira” on hilchos amira le’akum, besides for the face that we follow the AR (who’s shito R’ Zajac is coming to explain)
3) The seifer is not about haloco lemaso, rather explaining the reasoning of the AR in great depth, and is meant for people who learn B’iyun
I saw parts of this Sefer; an amazing contribution to a difficult Sugya. Thank you!
Although I never learned in R’ Zajac’s class, his obvious love for learning and approachability was then and still is an inspiration for me.
Which Lubavitcher Rabanim give their Haskoma to this Sefer???
Can it please be posted?
It’s very important to me to know that a Halacha Sefer has Haskomos of well known Lubavitcher Rabbon so that one can be sure that the Psakim there match the Lubavitcher Messura and Halacha.
Thank you!
Thank you rabbi zajac
Rabbi Zajac is a amazing talmid chochum and a great maagid shiur I remember my days in Morristown fondly.
