Once again, a tragic story united Klal Yisroel, as Jews around the globe Davened, gave Tzedakah, and learned – first for a miracle of finding him alive, and then for the miracle of locating his body quickly so he can be brought to proper Kevuras Yisroel.
Reb Dovid – who is originally from Cleveland – was a major Talmud Chochom, and a Rosh Kollel of a Chushuva group of Yungerleit that is located in Bais Medrash Elyon in Monsey.
Levaya details will be published when available.
BH May he will be found safe and healthy

ABC news has reported this as a drowning R”L based on eyewitnesses at the scene.
First thing we must do is make sure everyone wears a life vest when riding in a boat.
I think there has to be a serious discussion about safety outdoors…
There’s been a lot of accidents where people have fallen off rocks and been badly injured or have died. Please be aware that proper footwear is so important. Pine needles, leaves, Moss, rocks etc can be notoriously slippery. If you’re wearing regular leather soles shoes instead of proper hiking shoes, you are putting yourself in an unsafe situation, not to mention possibly putting your rescuers in danger. Be safe and teach your children (girls as well as boys) how to stay safe.
Even the strongest swimmer can rapidly have ‘street clothes ‘ become waterlogged, heavy, difficult to move in and quickly pull the person under. No one should be in a boat without a life jacket, especially children. Such a horrific accident.
There was nothing in the article about his son. Is he okay please HaShem?
Yes.

As a certified lifeguard, I would not go into a boat without wearing a lifejacket.
Some adults think that since there on a boat everything is safe and that life vests are for kids. Adults at times may need to jump in to save a kid. No boating company should allow people on boats with new life jackets.
