On Monday, there was a special Simcha in Yeshivas Lubavitch Cincinnati.
A young boy – who learns with a local shliach Rabbi Yaakov Karp – decided to finally have his bar Mitzva.
Jason – Mendel had his Aliya in the Yeshiva followed by a special Seuda and dancing with the Bachurim.
At the Seuda, Divrei Torah were shared and the Rebbe’s letter read by Rabbi Gershon Avtzon, Rabbi Yehuda Levin and Rabbi Eliyahu Simpson.
The highlight was when the MC announced a special present to the Bar Mitzva boy: his own pair of Tefillin bought by the bochurim and Talmidei Hashluchim themselves.
amazing talents in that school!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Piano, juggling, singing, dancing friendship………………………………
(who is juggling?)
Rabbi Karp is an amazing shliach, he finds people from all places and brings them closer to yiddishkeit, no matter what the circumstances.
Rabbi Karp, you are a real inspiration, keep up the good work!
We also have a son in the yeshiva and we are so proud to see him being part of such a great place!
Moshaich now!
I know how you feel. But that’s how it often is – when someone is “further out”, extraordinary things are sometimes done for him, but when one is considered more part of something (which is a compliment( then he’s not thought of to need that level of involvement – but I know what you mean and how you feel – you would like to feel appreciated more. Hatzlacha in everything. Even if you feel people take you for granted somewhat, be sure of one thing – everything you do to help a Torah situation gets you big brownie points above.… Read more »
What a beautiful and meaningful Bar Mitzvah! And the Bochurim seem like they are real Chassidim, with wonderful Middos and character traits. Kol Hakavod! It was so beautiful to see the Bar Mitzvah boy get an Aliya, and dance with the Bochurim. It was so inspiring and enlightening to see the Bochurims’ lebedig and enthusiastic dancing with the Bar Mitzvah boy, as if he’s their best friend, their family! Mazel Tov to Jason/Mendel on your Bar Mitzvah, and Yasher Koach to all the students and staff at Yeshivas Lubavitch Cincinnati – what unbelievable living examples you are all setting for… Read more »

Very heartwarming. A yeshiva that really cares. Rabbi Avtzon and his staff really know what is important in our children’s education. They should continue to do such amazing work. A grateful parent of a former student.
It amazing to see such great bochurim in action
THis yeshiva cares about the needs of the boys, and encourages them to get involved in peulos like this, so their learning and Chassidus becomes real.
You sound very upset
Theres always money for tefillin. Ask the Rabbi or write to the Rebbe
Maybe it will happen for u
Just beautiful! Real Ahavas Yisrael. What a refined person this Bar Mitzvah boy is.
As a proud mom to a son in this yeshiva I must say I’m beyond impressed with all they do. My son loves the students the faculty and a simcha like this will remain a lifelong memory of one of his first shlichus encounters. Go cincinatti!!
i wonder if he’ll go to that Yishiva……………………….
VERY INSPIRING. teaching students real middos.
The guy just recently got involved with Chabad and got a good pair of tefillin for free. I have been involved with Chabad for over eight years and have always helped to fix, clean, and do free construction for the shul and still trying to put together money for a good pair of tefillin. That’s really beautiful for him. Very inspirational in that I have to do things for myself and chesed for those around me. Thank you for sharing this story, HaShem is showing me the true way in these glorious days of Mashiach.
Thats so nice !!
