Achei Temimim offers Bochurim the privilege to take part in a two-year Smicha program, an integral part of their daily routine. Under the watchful guidance of Rabbi Shmuel Kesselman, who has overseen the flourishing Smicha program at Achei Tmimim, and thanks to the curriculum and materials provided by Machon Smicha, the Bochurim have been able to delve deeper into the study of Halacha, examining the texts in both English and Hebrew for an in depth look at halacha in a practical way.
Throughout the program, the Bochurim underwent biweekly tests to measure their understanding and progress. Their knowledge was ultimately put to the test in Farhers administered by respected Rabbonim, including Rabbi Boruch Hertz, Rabbi Yossi Barber, and Rabbi Tuvya Kasimov.
The success of the Smicha program can be attributed to the Bochurim’s dedication and the efforts of several individuals. Rabbi Kesselman, Rabbi Tzukernik, Rabbi Bryski, Rabbi Losh, Rabbi Ben Bursk, and Rabbi Menachem Cunin who offer their time, energy, and personal attention to each Bochur. Over the years, countless students have discovered that participating in the Smicha program at Achei Tmimim not only allowed them to comprehend the material but also enabled them to thrive, grow, and gain self-belief.
Rabbi Sholom Jaffe, who recently completed his Smicha, expressed his deep gratitude to the staff, acknowledging their unwavering support that helped him reach this significant milestone, and celebrated alongside his family and friends. Rabbi Yitzchok Shuchat shared his own experience, stating, “Being in Achei has shown me that I can achieve, I can actually learn.” These words of inspiration were echoed by Menahel Rabbi Levi Tzukernik, who commended the students for their hard work and enthusiasm, while wishing them success in their future endeavours and assuring them of a forever home in Achei Tmimim. Rabbi Dovid Losh, a prominent Teacher and Mashpia at Achei Tmimim, also shared words of encouragement.
As the celebration continued, the students had the opportunity to express their gratitude to the staff and their fellow Bochurim, recognizing the invaluable support that allowed them to accomplish this incredible feat.
Achei Tmimim not only offers a rigorous curriculum in Halacha but also supplements it with a richly cultivated Gemara curriculum led by Rabbi Yakov Weiss and Rabbi YY Geisinsky. The Bochurim learn Chassidus through enlightening shiurim and lectures delivered by Mashpim Rabbi Yossi Paltiel, Rabbi Yehuda Fenton, and Rabbi Dovid Losh. This wholesome environment allows the Bochurim to witness the practical application of Yiddishkeit’s values and laws. This is just a glimpse of what Achei Tmimim has to offer its Bochurim.
At Achei Tmimim, we extend our heartfelt wishes for great success to all our graduating Rabbis in their future endeavours. May Hashem grant them fulfilment in all their aspirations and desires for good.
