Two bochurim from Yeshivas Lubavitch Toronto, Levi Bleich and Mendel Diamont, marked a special milestone on a recent Friday just before Sukkos, after breaking a remarkable record on Mivtzoim.
The bochurim returned to yeshiva just moments before shkiah with great excitement, having assisted a record-breaking number of Jewish men to don Tefillin in one day.
The duo, who regularly go on mivtzoim in Forest Hills, Toronto, inspired 35 Yidden to wrap tefillin in one day — the highest number ever recorded in the yeshiva’s history. Among them were five ‘karkaftas’ who had never before put on tefillin in their lives.
Their incredible achievement has uplifted the entire yeshiva, sparking renewed motivation among fellow talmidim to increase in the Rebbe’s mivtza tefillin and to share the beauty of the mitzvah with even more Jews each week.
