Alongside the study of hundreds of Seminary students in Tzfas, a crane, bulldozer and dozens of construction workers put in lengthy shifts to speed ahead the long awaited new Beis Chana dorm building.
“We are excited to be in the 50th year since Beis Chana’s founding and will open our doors – b’gashmius with a new dorm facility – and b’ruchnius with Rebbe’s brachos and koach,” says Rabbi Yosef Yitzchok Chitrik, Menahel of the Seminary.
With much excitement, the six story dorm building in process has progressed to a frame of four floors already. The Seminary hopes to house some of next year’s students on its first floor already in Elul.
This new dorm is adjacent to the recently built classroom building and both overlook the unparalleled view of Galilee mountains and Sea of Kinneret.
The building will be aesthetically designed and include 80 dorm rooms, several lounges and designated study and recreation areas. The building will include ‘smart’ technology, and abide by all safety and accessibility standards.
In other developments, in 5787, the Seminary will innovate a Chul class for global Hebrew speakers who seek a year of advanced Torah study, following the Chul curriculum but in a language they feel better suits them.
