What would it look like if a young woman who graduated from high school and seminary wants to bring her Torah learning to the next level?
She makes a powerful choice to show up every weekday to a chavrusa program to learn portions of Gemara and Chassidus—not as a class, but as a commitment.
In a world that moves fast and pulls in every direction, she chooses to open a sefer instead of spending endless hours on her phone.
There are individuals who have made that choice this year. They sat with a language they had rarely interacted with before. They engaged with questions for longer than they ever had. And in doing so, they didn’t just study Torah—they built a relationship with it.
Their year has been filled with growth: from learning to unravel sugyos in Gemara, coming to appreciate the process of how current-day halacha came to be, to chavrusa debates and moments of stillness where a single idea in a maamar reveals its astounding beauty. They’ve learned how to learn and, most importantly, developed a personal relationship with Torah beyond what can be given over in a class.
This isn’t just a celebration of what they’ve accomplished—it’s a celebration of what’s possible when Torah learning is taken into your own hands. This is why you are invited to celebrate with these young women on Thursday, 23 Sivan, June 19th, at 543 Albany Ave at 7:30 PM.
At the graduation, you’ll hear their voices—thoughtful, honest, and full of life. You’ll hear what this learning meant to them and how it’s shaped their path forward. Educators and mentors will share what they’ve seen blossom over the past year, and what these young women are accomplishing in the world through their sincere study of Torah in our lightning-speed society.
Batsheva Learning Center’s Beis Midrash provides this opportunity to whoever steps through its door. You can also make Torah learning a central part of your life.
If this year’s graduates have inspired you, then perhaps it’s time for you to take the next step in your own learning journey. Registration for next year is open! Just as these students dedicated themselves to daily Torah study, you too can join a community of learners who are committed to growing through meaningful daily Torah engagement.
