The Rebbe would traditionally quote each of his predecessors in the annual Basi L’Gani Maamorim, starting with the Baal Shem Tov.
This is one of the unique features of Basi L’Gani Maamorim, and we have therefore chosen to bring a quote from each Rebbe, culled from our Rebbe’s own words.
We have included the original Yiddish from the recording of the Maamar alongside a fresh translation into English, with special thanks to Mendel Baumgarten.
