Basil Hospitality Group
Since 2010, Basil Pizzeria & Wine Bar has been a mecca for kosher dining in Crown Heights, pushing the level of sophistication and elegance in the area to a new level. Danny Branover launched the restaurant as a unifying force in the community.
Under the culinary direction of Chef David Kolotkin, the restaurant group includes Bakerie at 252 Albany Avenue, providing extraordinary pastry and bread. In just a few weeks, Meat, the newest addition to the group at 123 Kingston Avenue, will be opened.
The success of Basil inspired Basil Hospitality Group to branch out into diverse offerings, from a creative bakery to an upscale charcuterie and steak restaurant.
Basil is pleased to welcome back for the launch of a new menu created by Chef Sean Callender. You will find your favorites, with a wonderful selection of new and innovative dishes on the menu.
And be sure to pass by early morning for Basil ToGo, at our walk-up window. This will be the perfect stop on your morning journey for a latté, coffee, and the finest croissants in New York. We will have a rotating selection breakfast pastry, sandwiches and salads for a quick snack!
Having originally opened in 2010 as a chic Italian bistro providing contemporary Italian cuisine, Basil Pizzeria & Wine Bar has entered a new age of cleaner, simpler ingredients and fresher fare. Its woodstone oven helps create a range of delicious specialty pizzas, and its open kitchen not only allows for staff efficiency, but provides a culinary show and removes the veil between patron and kitchen. It also gives the chefs and cooks a venue to show off and have a good time, giving the restaurant an energetic atmosphere.
Bakerie is soon celebrating its 2nd anniversary, and Chef Razia Achrak continues to innovate and produce unique desserts in a traditional European style, sure to satisfy any sweet tooth! And be sure to take home a loaf of our classic, slow-fermented sourdough bread!
