Bais Rivkah’s BRanches treated their mothers to a gala that focused on the joy of Chinuch on Wednesday night.
Mothers entered an elegantly decorated room with round tables and custom floral arrangements and enjoyed a buffet of poke bowls, a delicious dessert bar, soups and salads.
The emcee, Mrs. Libby Herz, welcomed the mothers to the event. This was followed by an inspirational Rebbe video about how to be joyful.
Mrs. Tzameret Borevitz gave an inspiring talk about roadblocks to happiness. We may regret the past, be dissatisfied with the present, or worry about the future. When we realize that everything comes from Hashem, we can live happier, more joyful lives and raise our children in a more loving, accepting way.
The keynote address was followed by a stirring mother-daughter choir featuring Mrs. Chanie Vogel, Chava’le Vogel, Mrs. Clara Chaya Epstein, Mushka Epstein, Mrs. Bassie Friedman and Ahuva Friedman.
Comedian Malkie Knopfler had the audience in stitches with her relatable, hilarious anecdotes about motherhood. Due to the nature of Malky’s business, the recording of her performance will not be available online.
An exciting Hakhel takeaway was announced. Mothers from every class from preschool through eighth grade will have the opportunity to meet, get to know each other, learn and participate in a fun activity provided by BRanches. High school mothers will get to know and support each other at grade farbrengens that will be set up for each grade.
