The new school year has begun for the boys division of Cheder Chabad of Monsey in New York following an extended period of learning online.
At the entrance of the school, students were greeted with a festive balloon arch and music on Wednesday.
As their teacher welcomed them with a smile, they were treated to delicious danishes.
“Baruch Hashem, the sound of Torah can be heard once again in our hallways,” the Cheder reported. “Today our boys started Cheder in an exciting manner.
The ‘new normal’ was clearly visible as the temperature of students was checked at the entrance and both children and the faculty were wearing protective masks. Plexiglass dividers were installed on each student’s desk.
The Cheder thanked the Steinmetz family for sponsoring and arranging the entire welcome celebration. “Our talmidim are very grateful for the love showered on them,” they said.
