On Lag Baomer, BRHS girls created a stunning mural on the back wall of their school building under the direction of artist Yitzchok Moully.
“I was looking for an engaging activity that would bring the girls together and enable them to create something beautiful and meaningful,” says Mrs. Sarah Blau, director of extracurriculars, “so I reached out to Yitzchok Moully to guide the girls through the process of painting a mural.”
The girls were so excited for this project and they completely took ownership of preparing for the mural, power washing the wall and then painting it white.
The theme of the mural is a celebration of the power of lighting Shabbos candles, and includes three candles in accordance with the Rebbe’s hora’os, surrounded by the energy of the mitzvah.
The girls’ smiles radiated on their faces as they approached the wall, spray cans in hand, ready to make their mark. And make their mark they did! The wall is full of color, energy, and passion that the BRHS girls will enjoy seeing for years to come. Moully was on hand to guide the girls and direct them, but the mural is fully a reflection of the passion and creativity of our students and their love for this mitzvah.

Beautiful!
wow! this is a talented bunch with a very talented artist
Looks amazing. Sorry why 3 candles?
When the Rebbe started encouraging girls to light there was a Horaah from the rebbe to add a third candle to the logo.
He is a great gift to Bnei Yisrael
