With two days left, Gimmel Tammuz is on the mind of every Chabad Chassid. Thousands of people will be pouring into Crown Heights this week. But what does this enigmatic day mean? Questions continue to stream in about Gimmel Tammuz and about the Rebbe’s role in our lives today.
In response, tonight’s episode will continue where we left off in last Sunday’s Special Rebbe Edition of MyLife. Why can’t I be a nice frum Jew, like so many others are, without a Rebbe? Is it our job to convince others that our Rebbe should be their Rebbe? Can you elaborate on the proper observance of the day?
This episode will also dive into the personal relationship one has with the Rebbe, seeking to answer the question of inspiration and motivation to remain strong and observant, especially when we are worn out. Rabbi Jacobson will also reveal for a newly discovered manuscript from the Mitteler Rebbe, never before seen by the public and published, which can shed light on Gimmel Tammuz and the last 20 years.
Some of the topics in this Sunday’s hour-long broadcast will include:
· Can I be frum with no Rebbe?
· Should we convince others to accept the Rebbe?
· Follow-up: Observing Gimmel Tammuz
· If there is one thing I can do on Gimmel Tammuz, what would it be?
· Advice about getting inspired when “burning out”
MyLife: Chassidus Applied addresses questions that many people are afraid to ask and others are afraid to answers.

truth is so much needed in this world! thanks for speaking it!
Thank you Rabbi Jacobson for this episode. After watching a number of streamed events for gimmel Tammuz and reading two of the new books, I felt the opportunity to help the world understand the Rebbe was lost. Only Rabbi Steinzaltz at least touched on the concept of a Rebbe, and a holy person. If you are a chassid who has read any of the new English books, (and many would say you should not) you need to watch this episode you get your perspective back in sync with Torah and Chassidus.
