The biggest outbreak of measles in decades in the state of Minnesota is being blamed on followers of the anti-vaccine movement.
At least 44 people have been infected, nearly all of them children, and 11 kids are in the hospital, NBC News reported.
The vaccine skeptics led to low vaccination rates, and disease broke out, said David Johnson, program manager with the Hennepin County Health Department.
“Unfortunately now we are seeing the result. Measles is spreading rapidly in the community” where vaccine rates have dropped, he said.
Johnson dispelled a common anti-vaccine notion by pointing out that the low vaccine rates have not led to “any corresponding drop in autism in the community.”
“These groups continue to fabricate and promote alternative facts that have no bearing on reality,” he said.
While it’s easy to prevent measles — with the vaccine — no one knows how to prevent autism, NBC said. While no vaccine is 100 percent safe, the measles, mumps and rubella (MMR) vaccine only rarely causes side-effects and it has been shown many times that autism is not one of them.

Whooping cough is fatal for babies! There have been deaths unforunityly as well out of this 75 percent. The medicines used to help the infection don’t seem to be very effective in babies . Some women get the immunization while pregnant to prevent their newborn from contracting it b/c they can’t have the first shot until 2months and aren’t fully protected without 3 doses-6 months. MMR does not appear to cause encephalitis. Encephalitis is a terrible illness but the number of people who got encephalitis and the MMR vaccine is no different than the number of people who got encephalitis and did not have the MMR vaccine. This data shows that having the MMR vaccine makes you no more likely to get encephalitis

The encephalitis in my friends kids was discovered by a doctor with conclusive blood test to prove it. Read the warning label on the FDA website for each vaccine. Most of them in rare cases can cause the brain to swell. This isn’t pseudoscience. Each parent should research carefully.
