As the war in Israel continues, everyone is asking themselves, what can I do to help? How can I show my brothers and sisters that I am with them? We’re here in the United States, and we endlessly scroll through the news, wishing we could do something, anything!
Students on campus had another level of stress as they watched their bastion of education protest against what they knew was correct. But many didn’t have the facts and figures to combat the cries.
Mayanot is answering that call.
This winter, Mayanot Institute of Jewish Studies in Jerusalem is hosting a three-week learning and volunteering program, from Dec 18 – Jan 10. They are bringing young Jews from hostile campuses to show their Israeli family that they care and in parallel give them tools to return to their campuses as stronger advocates for the Jewish People.
Students will engage in learning Torah, and energizing their spiritual roots. They will be cooking for soldiers and families of evacuees, picking vegetables for farmers, having advocacy classes and more!
