In honor of Shavuos, a long time Released Time donor approached Rabbi Shazak Zirkind, Released Time Director, to donate hundreds of 17 inch Torahs to be distributed to the public school children who attend the Released Time Program under the auspices of NCFJE.
This Wednesday the Torahs have been distributed by the tirelessly working instructors who give of their time to ensure the evergrowing success of the program.
The instructors, immediately after finishing with the Lag B’Omer Parade, began organizing ice cream parties and hearings of the Aseres Hadibros for the families of the children.
Released Time would like to thank the instructors for their continuous dedication and the sponsors for making the programs possible.

Dear release time volunteers, you have no idea what impact your work has. I met a woman who remember the boys who came to her home as a child. Because of this she took a second job at night to pay for a good jewish education for her children. her relatives tell her she is wasting money but she knows different becuase of what she experienced. may you all continue to be lamplighters wherever you are. even in kan sivah . we need lamplighters too
