An Evening of Appreciation for Shifra and Puah Volunteers

At the beginning of the week, about two hundred women gathered for a special evening of appreciation for the volunteers of the Shifra and Puah organization in Crown Heights.

During the event, attendees got a glimpse into the incredible growth of the organization – which reached 700 postpartum mothers in Crown Heights last year.

The event attendees were comprised of an exclusive guest list of about a hundred female volunteers of Shifra and Puah and a few dozen other supporters and friends of the organization. The evening took place at Eshel hall, and the atmosphere was exciting and inspiring.

An exciting atmosphere
During the event, the many volunteers got to meet each other. It was also an opportunity for the organization’s leaders to give all the volunteers a special gift in recognition of their work. Week after week, the volunteers spent their time cooking healthy and delicious breakfasts for mothers, transporting and distributing the food, and performed many other tasks to help new mothers.

The event was also filled with an inspiring atmosphere. The attendees were privy to the dramatic increase of the Shifra and Puah activities over the last two years. In collaboration with the organization, Junior Chabad Women, services reached almost all the postpartum mothers in the neighborhood, and the increase of activities shot up tenfold.
The volunteers enjoyed an interactive game where, to win, they had to be familiar with the most recent numbers of the large organization.

Rochi Segal, who came in first place, won a gift card toward a day of pampering.

The highlight of the evening was when the participants were presented with the annual growth plan of the Shifra and Puah organization for the year 5783.

The directors of the organization plan to reveal the full plan at a Gala Dinner this Sunday for friends and supporters of the organization with video presentations and a touching production, they said.
