Agudas Chassidei Chabad International, the umbrella organization of the Chabad-Lubavitch movement, issued a public letter to Chassidim and bochurim, ahead of Gimmel Tammuz, the 29th yartzeit of the Rebbe.
Signed by its chairman Rabbi Avraham Shemtov, the letter calls on the public to strengthen themselves in “keeping, performing and actualizing the Rebbe’s intention” and “continue the Shlichus he has entrusted each and every one of us.”
Specifically, the letter encourages Lubavitchers to do the following:
- Study the Rebbe’s Sichos, maamarim, Reshimos and letters in Igros Kodesh, and the last Maamar Veata Tetzave which the Rebbe personally handed out.
- To study matters related to Geula and Moshiach.
- Strengthen the daily study of Chitas (Chumash, Tehillim and Tanya), as well as the Rambam’s Mishne Torah (3 chapters, 1 chapter and Sefer Hamitzvos).
- Strengthen acts of the 10 Mivtzoim instituted by the Rebbe.
- To hold a Hakhel unity gathering for family members on Gimmel Tammuz itself.
- Sign the ‘Pan Kloli’ on behalf of all Chassidim, which will be placed at the Ohel. Sign your name by Thursday 12noon EST: click here or email: [email protected]
- To add in Ahavas Yisroel and avoid any area of division “as much as possible.”
The letter concludes with a line in Yiddish, “Dear brothers and sisters, let’s stick together.”
