We have nowhere else to turn!
Following an extremely difficult fight with COVID-19, my husband began the long road to recovery.
Unfortunately, he was left with debilitating side effects from the coronavirus, including kidney disease, and extremely limited mobility, which rendered him unable to return to work, as much as he wanted to.
We now find ourselves in an impossible, financial crisis, and I have no choice but to turn to the community for help.
While my husband does qualify for Medicaid, we have been required to pay an incredible amount out of pocket for additional physical and occupational therapies he so desperately needs, not to mention the re-outfitting of our home to be handicap accessible.
To make matters worse, we have fallen significantly behind on our mortgage payments, and our home is in serious risk of being foreclosed upon by the lender.
We have been aggressive in trying to negotiate a payment plan, but our lender is requiring a hefty upfront fee, following which we can discuss a payment plan.
Crown Heights is our home, and our community. We are turning to you, as we have nowhere else to turn.
Our house has always been, and we could continue to be a house of Torah, and we need your help to navigate this impossible situation we find ourselves in.
My husband is a hard-working man, and has always been able to provide.
The very act of asking for help is something we never dreamed we’d have to do.
