In today’s Tanya, the Alter Rebbe writes that Tzedakah is “Hashem’s mitzvah”. When we initiate an arousal from below – compassion and kindness to those in need – it elicits an arousal from above – compassion from Hashem to us.
As you’re likely aware, Rabbi Shloimy Greenwald recently suffered a severe medical emergency that left him unconscious. While he fought for his life, friends and family from around the world united for his recovery. Thanks to the community’s tefillos and positive resolutions, Shloimy’s condition has stabilized, and he is now on the road to healing.
Today, Shloimy mustered the strength to share a heartfelt message with the community. He has one simple request: Support the Kollel!
Shloimy has always worked tirelessly to collect significant funds to maintain Kollel L’horaah Ma’asis, but right now, he is unable to dedicate the same energy to the essential cause. At this challenging time for Shloimy, he is asking the community to step in and ensure that the Kollel continues to thrive.
In the spirit of today’s Tanya, your contribution will not only sustain the Torah learning of our community, but also elicit unbounded brachos for your hatzlacha and personal yeshua.
Shloimy requests that each individual give whatever they can, be it $1 or $2 a day, to ensure the continuity of the vital Limmud HaTorah that upholds the community.
As Rosh Hashanah approaches, let us unite in action to arouse Hashem’s compassion, for the recovery of our people and endless brachos for all.
