Rabbi Yaakov Levitan, a devoted Chabad shliach was murdered while serving his community. A life of dedication, care, and responsibility taken in an act of violence that has left a family and a community shattered.
He leaves behind his wife Adina, a shlucha, and four young yesomim.
The loss is immeasurable. A husband taken from his wife. A father taken from his children. A shliach taken from the community he served with such devotion.
A shlucha is now left to move forward without her partner in life and in shlichus. Four children must grow up without their father’s presence, guidance, and support. Nothing can replace what was lost. What can be done is to ensure that this family has stability, care, and the ability to move ahead with dignity.
In moments like these, the support of a community makes a real difference. Helping cover day-to-day needs, providing financial security, and offering steady support allows a family facing unimaginable loss to focus on healing rather than survival.
This appeal is about standing with a shlucha and her four yesomim, showing we are a community behind them.
By coming together, we can help provide the stability and care this family needs during the most difficult chapter of their lives.
A fund has been set up by friends of the family.
The campaign committee and The Jewish House, NSW, will oversee all distribution of funds.
