Rabbi Benny Herskowitz traveled this week from his Shlichus location of Los Cabos at the southern tip of Mexico’s Baja California Peninsula, to the resort city of Playa del Carmen.
The reason for his trip was to bring a Torah scroll for the Chabad House in Playa which will be used this weekend for the reading of the 10 Commandments on the holiday of Shavuos and the rest of the year.
He was graciously welcomed by the local Shliach Rabbi Mendel Goldberg who thanked him for providing the Torah for the benefit of the thousands of Jewish and Israeli visitors.
Another Shliach who came in to join the celebration was Rabbi Mendel Druk of Cancun. The three took this opportunity to get together in the theme of Shavuos “vayichan sham Yisroel” and had a fabrengen through the night.
They thanked the Rebbe for his brachos and praised the the senior Shliach to Mexico, Rabbi Mendel Polichenco of Chabad Tijuana, who has been serving Jews all over Mexico for the last 20 years.

BH. The number “three’, is very much part of receiving the Torah, so, by Divine Providence, there were three chassidim, who were there to, receive The Torah. Why specifically three?
The number three, is the only number, which is the sum of it’s previous two numbers – ONE, that represents G-Dliness, and TWO, represents physicality, the purpose of Torah is to bring G-Dliness and the physical world together, one and two = three, the letter Gimel, which represents the GEULA.
Lag B’Omer in Cabo was amazing ! A bonfire , explanations , bar-b-q , stories , and kumzitz . Hatzlocha Raba on your Shlichus.
