A 19th of kislev farbrengen at YNS Tzfas went on until daybreak. After Ma’ariv the bochurim enjoyed a lavish Seudas Yom Tov where the Niggun of Podoh B’Shalom was sung followed by the Ma’amer Niggun.
The Ma’amer of Podoh B’Shalom was split up between six bochurim, who each said over a part of the Ma’amer, with great confidence. A big yasher koach goes to Yossi Weiss, Shloime Litvin, Eli Marks, Shmuly Bonnardel, Yossi Rubin and Yedidya Rittri.
The excitement increased as the shluchim announced all of the accomplishments of the bochurim: ninety six oysios of Ma’amorim were learnt ba’al peh and four prokim of Tanya were learnt b’iyun. The bochurim were also makpid in certain mitzvos.
The long-awaited raffle was then held in which Yossi Simpson won the 16 GB Ipod, Yossi Rubin won the 8 GB Ipod, Mendy Cohen and Dovid Schwartz both won two hundred and thirty four shekels which corresponds to the amount of years since the Alter Rebbe’s birth.
Leather-bound and personally engraved Mincha Ma’arivs were presented to the following bochurim: Yossi Borodkin, Mendy Cohen, Shmuly Bonnardel, Meir Roetter, Eli Marks, Yossi Simpson, Yossi Rubin, Yossi Weiss, Mendel Friedrich, Shloime Litvin, Menachem Olensky, Chaim Avrohom Rabinowitz and Dovid Schwartz.
A tremendous yasher koach to Mendy Cohen, Zacci Witkes, Dovid Hassan, Yisroel Rosenzweig and Shmuli Rappaport for a very successful mivtza and for all of their hard work and endless efforts that they put into the bochurim.
Rabbi Levi Wilschanski, Mashpia of the yeshiva told the story of Yud Tes Kislev. Several guests joined the farbrengen including a special guest from Toronto, Reb Yosef Rappaport, the father of one of the shluchim, who emphasized the uniqueness of Yud Tes Kislev and the great heights that one can reach from a chassidishe farbrengen. The Rosh Yeshiva, Rabbi Orimland continued on this thought and stressed the importance of applying these lessons of Yud Tes Kislev into their daily lives. Rabbi ‘O’ expressed tremendous joy and pride in the unbelievable progress of the bochurim over the last two months.
