In a heartwarming display of Achdus, some 300 members of Toronto’s Chabad community came together to celebrate a memorable Yud Tes Kislev Seudah and Farbrengen. The evening, filled with meaningful moments, showcased the true strength and warmth of the Chabad community in Toronto.
The event began with a Tehillim for the Rav, Rabbi Dovid Schochet and Shliach Rabbi Mendel Landa as well as our brothers in Eretz Israel. The Tehillim was led by Rabbi Yosef Gansburg. Rabbi Yisroel Steiner served as the MC, setting the tone for the evening. Then, Grade 5 of Cheder Chabad, led by Rabbi Weinfeld, filled the room with beautiful melodies. Live music by Chaim Freund was joined by the first-ever Toronto Chabad Acapellia Men’s Choir. All this created an atmosphere of inspiration and unity that resonated throughout the night.
One of the highlights was watching a video of the Rebbe. Reb Monish Overlander shared thoughtful remarks about the importance of Chalukas Hashas, prompting reflection on the significance of Limud HaTorah.
As participants enjoyed a catered meal, Rabbi Moshe Spalter shared the story of Yud Tes Kislev.
Guest speaker Rabbi Yossi Nemes, who came from New Orleans, delivered a captivating keynote address, offering a unique perspective and wise words that added a special touch to the evening.
As the Seudah came to an end, the collective energy shifted to lively dancing, uniting everyone on the dance floor. The formal program was followed by an in-depth Fabrengen which went late into the night.
Special thanks were extended to the Chabad Gate Shluchim, in particular, Rabbi Moshe Spalter, whose dedication and efforts made the evening possible.
