Rabbi Abba and Rivka Refson of Cambria Heights, Queens, had a baby girl on Thursday, Av 18 5771.

Since the Rebbe‘s passing on Gimmel Tammuz 5754, Abba Refson has dedicated his life to serve the many Jews who come 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to daven at the Rebbe’s Ohel gravesite in Old Montefiore cemetery in Queens.
Today, with the help of his wife, he oversees the Ohel Chabad-Lubavitch Center, a group of homes on Francis Lewis Blvd, used for a synagogue, library and hospitality rooms.
At many Chassidic farbrengens over the years, Abba and Rivka’s names were regularly mentioned for a blessing to bear children.
Today, after 11 years of marriage, those prayers were fulfilled.

Just wanted to make mention, this Chof Bais Shevat on MOtzei shabbos a group of shluchos after the late night program sat together to farbreng. 1 friend of the Refson’s poured her heart out saying this farbrengen amongst the shluchos here tonight is in dedication for Abba and his wife to be zoche already to have a child….G-d was making his plans and tefillos were heard!
