were was such retreats in my days
even being married can benefit from such classes because they didn’t hear it as Bochrim!…
Could a paid internet telephone option be made available for bochurim for whom it will be impossible to be there bgashmius?
I went to the girls retreat quite a few times and it was very inspiring and uplifting.
there are plenty of things like this for girls. just a few posts down you can see this https://collive.com/show_news.rtx?id=16164&alias=womens-weekend-concert
The girls have Bais Chana – the boys need something too!
so many unnecessary divorces happening now- our youth needs direction!!
that is great
They need a woman (obviously older/mother/wife) to speak to them also. There is currently a pre-dating class for boys and for girls and the boys had not only a man teaching them but in addition some classes were given by a woman. The result was they were very appreciating hearing from a woman.
Perfect opprtunity to tell these boys that there is other criteria for picking a mate then having her be a size 2! Their priorities are all out of wack and they are influenced by peer pressure as well.
I lookes at this b4 and dnt notice n e thing eye catching so left the page..now I looked again and was abt to skip and realized, hey that’s in pittsburgh!!!boy has that place changed!that building had not been around for long….ar al least when I was there……
N e way this program looks pretty good…but maybe thy should allow more ppl to join and privide choices of families to stay by…u know pittsburgh ia kinda random and many pl don’t know ppl in pgh other than the main rabbis…….much hatzlacha!!
And to #5—i loves ur comment
theres always thing happening for girls – if you are trully interested look into it. BUT there is a real gap of such activities and programs for guys…so thats why theyve done this…stop complaining!
the one 4 girls is called sem =)
you obviously dont know what chassidus is
its not just a farbengen with a lebidikeh niggun, a couple of lechaims and some dancing
chassidus is very deep and if you learnt some you might change your mind set
…but why are his eyes closed and/or looking away from the camera for a major proportion of the time?
Is this the Manness Friedman I know? The chosid, the pnimi,. the oyved? Or just plain Manness the maskil, clinically analyzing what chassiduss should be.
Where is the: I was there, am there, will always be there?
It is almost as if he is peaking about a theoretical concept, relevant to others.
finally a good program to educate the boys in what is needed most
So organize it. Get together with your friends and contact Rabbi Friedman and others who you think would be good and make it happen.
in girls seminary, these subjects are discussed around the clock! By boys they don;t discuss this except for in chosson classes, and thats not enough!
It’s called Bais Chana
who sees rabbi wilhelm’s new sefer peninai ohr on the shelf in back of rabbi Friedman
this sound wonderful! but it would be great to have it for girls too! after all, EVERY Jew would benefit from this – wether boy or girl.
Get in touch with and check out whether Bais Chana has
something for you.
This is for the girls. So girls will have a larger choice of bochurim who can be good husbands and parents.
they have this for girls also. the girls have it in MN. ask and you’ll find out.
They do have it for girls. Check out http://www.baischana.org.
