8th Day Rocks CityWalk

Jewish pride was in the air as thousands attended Chabad of the Valley’s 11th annual Chanukah at CityWalk at Universal Studios on Sunday.

The energetic concert, the largest Chanukah celebration on the West Coast has become an annual fixture on the L.A. calendar.

Featured performers were the 8th Day Band, Piamenta , Israeli artist Pini Cohen, and musician Mendel Simons along with a guest appearance by Yumi Lowy.

A special segment entitled “The New Talent Showcase” included appearances by Jewish Star contestant Baruch Shalom Blesofsky and The Cheder Boys Choir among other up and coming Jewish entertainers.

“It was a magical night,” one of the event’s organizers told COLlive. “One of our biggest crowds ever, and an amazing line-up of talent. It was a big Kiddush Hashem.”
