A group learning Hilchos Melichah in 770’s Semicha program participated in a hands-on demonstration of the melichah process for cattle.
Guided by expert Rabbi Shmuly Tzfasman, and accompanied by Rabbi Yaakov Gurwitz and Rabbi Ahron Liberow of the program’s faculty, the bochurim observed each stage of the process and gained practical insight into how melichah is performed in real-life settings.
Participants also had the opportunity to examine many of the animal parts referenced in the Shulchan Aruch – details that are often difficult to fully grasp without seeing them firsthand.
