Rabbi Zalman Labkowski, Rosh Yeshiva of the Central Tomchei Tmimim Lubavitch at 770 Eastern Parkway in Crown Heights, recently concluded a trip to Israel.
Rabbi Labkowski, a revered talmid chacham who has taught generations of bochurim, as well as ordained rabbonim, visited the Chabad Yeshivos in Migdal Haemek and Tveria in northern Israel.
In Migdal Haemek, he was warmly welcomed by Rosh Yeshiva Rabbi Yitzchok Goldberg and the Director Rabbi Levi Wilimovsky during which he toured the campus with its buildings that include a cheder and a Yeshiva for Baalei Teshuva.
Rabbi Labkowski gave a ‘shiur kloli’ to the bochurim of the Yeshiva and expressed his impression of the spiritual and material accommodations available to them. The Yeshiva typically sends its oldest graduating bochurim to a “Kevutz” year of learning at the 770 Yeshiva.
Rabbi Labkowski also visited the Chabad Yeshiva in Tveria led by Rosh Yeshiva Rabbi Boruch Levanoni and under the guidance of Rabbi Yosef Kremer, Head Shliach of Tveria.
