120 bochurim in Yeshiva Tomchei Tmimim Lubavitch in Brunoy, France, participated in a learning campaign that ran for 6 months and included bi-weekly tests.
A total of 4500 Perakim of Tanya were learned in the Mivtza organized by the Talmidim Shluchim to Brunoy – Yehoshua Michoel Resin, Menachem Mendel Baron and Shmuel Korf.
65 Bochurim passed all the tests with flying colors, and the top 40 participated in a general written and oral test on the entire 53 Perakim including all the Rebbe’s Haoros on Tanya in one shot for the top 21.
Participants in the final oral test were Schneur Zalman Glazman – first place winner, Menchem Mendel Appelbaum – second place winner, Chaim Wagner, Avremel Tovenblat, Yisroel Sosover, Levi Levin, Shmuel Block, Menachem Mendel Stern, Dovid Boitner, Menachem Mendel Kolski, Shimon Laub, Menachem Mendel Tovenblat, Arye Leib Hendel, Menachem Mendel Dahan, Menachem Mendel Serichov, Shmuel Paltiel, Menachem Mendel Freidman, Yaakov Kaplan, Menachem Mendel Blooming, Schneur Zalman Dahan, Nochom Segel.
