The only reason the murder rate is down these days as compared to the1960 and 1970s is because the huge change of population. There are now 1.5 million Chinese in NYC. Many white hipsters moving in around crown heights and Williamsburg. There is also an exploding frum population as well as many blacks moving out of New York. The rents are increasing and pushing out the rif raf. Every dangerous area is changing fast.

What an article. I remember Reb Dovid הי”ד he was a Yid א תלמיד חכם with real מסירות נפש and a true אוהב ישראל. May he have a ליכטיגע גן עדן and be a מליץ יושר for his family and כלל ישראל

Remember during the funeral procession the coffin was brought to the 71st pct police station- Rabbi Elya Gross a”h spoke from the upper steps of the old police station building.
