Over 4,000 Jewish children and their parents, both residents and visitors to South Florida, attended the eighth annual Family Adventure Day at Jungle Island theme Park recently.
The annual event, a project of Anshei Lubavitch/ Tzivos Hashem of South Florida, headed by Rabbi Yitzchok Teitelbaum and Rabbi Dovid Shapiro, is the largest rally and gathering of Jewish children (outside of Israel) of its kind every year.
The highlight of the day at the theme park were two live concerts by the world famous children’s singer, Uncle Moishy, joined by the popular Tekiah Orchestra.
Throngs of children were thrilled by the performances, singing and dancing to songs about Shabbos, Kashrut, Mezuza, honoring one’s parents and many other Mitzvos.
Adding to the day’s excitement was a spectacular circus performance, an assortment of amusement rides, all specially arranged for Family Adventure Day, as an addition to the park’s shows featuring many different exotic jungle creatures and scenic trails displaying a vast variety of birds.
Participants enjoyed a day packed with fun, adventure and great Jewish spirit.
