Taking advantage of an extra Adar this year, over 40 Menahalim will convene in Coral Springs, FL to build their skills, learn best practices, and gain insight and inspiration for their key role. The annual Chabad School Leadership Retreat, organized by the Menachem Education Foundation (MEF), brings principals together at another Lubavitch school each year, and this year’s retreat will take place on March 3-4 / 23-24 Adar I, hosted by Lubavitch Hebrew Academy.
The program this year focuses on the theme of “Chinuch Here, Now”, unpacking how Menahalim can rise to the occasion of current educational challenges and turn them into opportunities to lead their schools to success. The program offers professional development workshops and inspirational sessions with Rabbi Aaron Kotler, Rabbi Boruch Hertz, Rabbi Sholom Lipsker, Rabbi Yehoshua Lustig, Rabbi Mendy Greenbaum, Mr. Mark Moscowitz, and Rabbi Yossi Denberg. After hearing from principal Rabbi Shneur Wilhelm, the principals will tour Lubavitch Hebrew Academy to learn from the innovations and successes taking place.

Rabbi Zalman Shneur, MEF’s Executive Director is leading the program together with committee members Rabbi Yoel Chazan, Rabbi Mendy Greenbaum, Rabbi Levi Kaplan, Rabbi Shua Lustig, Rabbi Shneur Wilhelm and Rabbi Yossi Zavdi. “Menahalim and Menahalos working alongside the teachers in their school are the people who hold the future of our communities in their hands,” explains Rabbi Shneur. “It is in our hands to build a Chinuch-centered community, where the school’s priorities are our priorities, with strong and visionary school leaders at the helm.”
