Over 3,500 Bais Rivkah alumni enjoyed the Bais Rivkah reunion, EmBrace Live, on Wednesday night. Whether in-person or on the live hookup, alumni experienced a top-tier evening that entertained and inspired.
As alumni walked in, they were greeted with an exquisite 80 Years History Museum. Pictures, both past and present, hung from the ceiling. Vintage uniforms were on display. Production videos played, yearbooks spanning decades were lined up and powerful stories were shown.
The emcee for the evening’s program, Mrs. Aidela Blesofsky, shared how the Rebbe encouraged her mother to learn in Bais Rivkah. The esteemed Chairman of the Board, Rabbi Avraham and Mrs. Batsheva Shemtov, told how Bais Rivkah was founded.
This was followed by four powerful EmBRace Talks.
Mrs. Rishe Deitsch spoke about her transition to Bais Rivkah as an out-of-towner from Worcester, Massachusetts.
Mrs. Dena Schusterman empowered mothers to listen to their children’s feelings.
Mrs. Chanie Minkowicz reflected on the strong value system her parents and Bais Rivkah share.
Miss Sarah Hodakov reminded the crowd how every single individual was chosen to be in Bais Rivkah, on purpose.
The production melody, headed by Mrs. Hindel Levitin, took a musical journey down memory lane, from performances in the 1950s until today.
Miss Zeesy Gurevitch, the dynamic force behind Zappy by Zeesy, led an enthusiastic live game show. Participants were quizzed on many “firsts” of Bais Rivkah, as well as answering questions about the schedule today. Audience members hit their clickers to answer questions, participate in polls and guess staff members from period photos. Five lucky audience members won prizes for their Bais Rivkah knowledge.
The focus turned to the future with Chinuch Tank. Three contestants pitched important initiatives to improve the chinuch of our students. Audience members voted on their choice from the final three. Congratulations to Mrs. Chaya Chazan, winner of the $25,000 grant. She will use the funding to create a literature curriculum that teaches writing techniques and literary tools using Jewish literature.
This unforgettable evening closed with a spirited “80 years” melody performed by Bais Rivkah High School students. Participants left inspired by the magnificent history of the school they attended and the beautiful future it has ahead.

Love you Tzirl’le and Aliza!!!
I spied some of my former colleagues and students. We’re all a lot older, but you know what they say…you can take a girl (or teacher!) out of Bais Rivka, but you can’t take Bais Rivka out of her!
I will be forever grateful for the chinuch my daughters and daughters-in-law received in Bais Rivka. They provided the foundation that has made them into amazing Shluchos, educators, mothers and pillars in their communities. Hatzlacha to you all, may you be blessed with good health & nachas from your families and students.
