An Israeli 17 year old girl was killed, and her father and 19 year old brother were wounded, in an explosion Friday near the settlement of Dolev in the Shomron.
The explosion occurred at the Bubin Spring, a popular hiking spot approximately 10 kilometers east of the city of Modiin. A group of terrorists approached the spring and threw an improvised explosive device at the family, officials said.
Magen David Adom emergency services personnel rushed to the scene, however because the spot is difficult to access, MDA paramedics moved the father, 46, and his 19-year-old son to the spot where IDF helicopters were waiting. They were then airlifted to Hadassah Ein Kerem Medical Center in Jerusalem.
The 17-year-old girl was identified as Rina Shenrav of Lod.
She was treated at the scene before succumbing to her wounds. She was laid to rest at 3:30 PM Friday in the Lod cemetery.
Her father David Eitan Shenrav is said to be conscious and in moderate condition, while his 19 year-old son Dvir is sedated and on life support with injuries to his entire body.
According to reports, Eitan Shenrav received a commendation during his reserve service when he thwarted a terror infiltration by two armed Palestinians in the West Bank.
Security forces have set up roadblocks and are conducting searches in the area following reports of a car that was seen driving away from the scene of the blast. Security forces were sweeping the area for suspects, with a focus on the area around Ramallah.
Residents of Dolev were under orders from security officials to remain indoors and report any suspicious activity.
I just read the 17 year old girl was nifter from her wounds. The problem is that the government is responsible. First they give money to PA authority who pay for families of terrorists everytime they kill a Jew. The baloney of knocking down the home is replaced and funded by the PA with a newer rebuilt home.
