A grand Siyum Harambam marking the completion of the daily learning cycle of 3 chapters of Mishneh Torah was held in Paris, France.
The event was organized by Beth Lubavitch led by Shliach Rabbi Mendel Azimov with the participation of 2,000 men, women and even children.
Concluding it was Rabbi Avrohom Boruch Pewsner, Rabbi of the Chabad community in Paris, and the new cycle was begun by Rabbi Yechiel Kalmenson, Rosh Yeshiva Tomchei Tmimim Lubavitch in Brunoy.
A guest speaker was Rabbi Pinchas Wishedsky, who led the Jewish community in Donetsk in Ukraine and later the Kedem community in Kyiv. He spoke about the self-sacrifice and dedication needed during this time.
Rabbi Azimov urged the crowd to participate in the learning cycle instituted by the Rebbe by either learning 3 chapters a day, or a single one or in Sefer Hamitzvos.
