Over 2,000 people attended the grand ceremony in Paris, France, concluding the 43rd cycle of the daily study of Mishne Torah, the digest of halachos written by the Rambam.
The study, initiated by the Rebbe, unites Jewish people worldwide in the daily learning of Rambam.
Beth Loubavitch in Paris, headed by Shliach Rabbi Mendel Azimov, organized the annual event which also paid tribute to the 50th anniversary of Mivtza Neshek (Shabbos candle lighting).
Speakers included Rabbi Avrohom Baruch Pewsner, Rav of Lubavitch in Paris; Rabbi Yosef Yitzchok Matusof, Shliach in Toulouse; Rabbi Moshe Vishetski, Shliach at the Beth Haya Mouchka school in Paris.
The guest speaker was Rabbi Laurent Chalom Berros, who leads the Jewish community in Sarcelles and Val-d’Oise in the northern suburbs of Paris, France. He praised the daily study and encouraged others to join in the new cycle.
