A ground-breaking program awaits the 1,500 bochurim of Chabad Yeshivos worldwide that are expected to come in to New York to spend Gimmel Tamuz in the Rebbe’s daled amos.
A special “Yom Iyun,” a day of in-depth learning of the vast Torah of the Rebbe, is being organized by the Vaad Hatmimim organization and will extend throughout the afternoon and evening of Daled Tamuz as well.
The first half of the program to be held at the Chovevai Torah Yeshiva in Crown Heights, will feature workshops led by Roshei Yeshiva and Choizrim focusing on specific areas of the Rebbe’s contribution to various parts of Torah.
They will be served lunch and at a General Session later, experts in the Rebbe’s Torah will deliver talks on its revolution and scope.
This program, initiated by Rosh Yeshivas and Mashpiim and donated in merit of Shimon Aharon ben Kraina Hakohen and his family, promises to be a great learning experience for the already knowledgeable as well as the beginner student.
This follows Vaad Hatmimim’s internatinal learning campaign in preparation for the Rebbe’s yahrzeit with over 2,000 bochurim taking part. A special booklet “Rosh Alfei Yisroel” was printed.
Vaad Hatmimim, in coordination with Ohel Chabad Lubavitch, is supplying sleeping accommodations for bochurim on the Shabbos following Gimmel Tammuz. To RSVP, text the word “Bochurim” and the full name to 313131.

On Motzoei Shabbos, a central Kinnus will be taking place, with many local chassidim joining to get inspired as well.
“The experience of previous years has demonstrated that the preparations organized by the Vaad have become an integral part of the Tmimim’s Hachono for Gimmel Tammuz,” a representative of the Vaad said.
“This is attested to by the yearly increase of participants, as well as the avid interest and anticipation displayed by the Tmimim in the past few weeks.”
