A Chabad delegation will be visiting Mumbai to mark a half a year since the terror attack on the local Chabad House.
Located in the Nariman House, the building was attacked in November of 2008 and six of its occupants, including Chabad Rabbi Gavriel Holtzberg and his wife Rivka were killed.
The delegation will consist of representatives of the Holtzberg and Rosenberg families and a few Chabad activists.
They are also negotiating for a meeting with the Prime Minister of India, Dr. Manmohan Singh.
“We will examine the possibilities of opening a new Chabad House,” a source told COLlive.
Chabad of Mumbai was opened in 2006 by Rabbi Holtzberg and his wife. The center had an educational center, a synagogue, offered drug prevention services and a hostel.
