Zeh Lozeh Volunteers Offer Helping Hands in Crown Heights

As the need in our community increases for those in quarantine to obtain basics such as food and medicine, an efficient initiative has been established in Crown Heights.

A team of volunteers is available to pick up items and drop them off at the requested address. This service is specifically geared toward those homebound in Crown Heights.

Requests for help are submitted to a hotline number via whatsapp. A dispatcher handles the request, and matches the request with a volunteer. Requests are submitted to the group anonymously by the dispatcher – to maintain privacy.

All volunteers must be symptom-free and follow all safety protocols. All items must be paid for in advance before being picked up.

This volunteer system is already in place in various neighborhoods around the world, and is now being established for residents in Crown Heights.

In order to expand this initiative and to ensure it runs smoothly and meets the community’s demands, we are in need of many more dispatchers and delivery volunteers.
