How much money does the Va’ad Hakohol get for serving the community?
I have a lot of respect for him!
You right you are gone! bcs according to you there is no Nosi Hador in a guf (or you have someone else chas vesholom) which all hashpoes gashmiim and ruchniim go through him as the Alter Rebbe states the fact in tania and brought out in sichos of the Rebbe. When the Rebbe was asked by the lawyers of the sforim case who does he mean when he says Nesi Doireinu he point to himself he did not said to his father in law the Frierdiker Rebbe.
Zaki deserves great credit for his dedicated service to the community. I am not a “Meshichist” (which is itself a disgusting and repulsive term – when I say disgusting, I refer to their opponents, who invented that obnoxious epithet), but the fact is that t0ere is nothing wrong with him addressing the Rebbe as Shlito. The Rebbe approved using a similar expression about the Frier’dike Rebbe after Yud Shevat 1950 (this Sicha was printed more than 50 years ago, so no one can claim that it isn’t authentic – I say similar because the Rebbe spoke in Yiddish and actually… Read more »
I wait sometimes to see the silly comments people bring out. really, this is just insane. lets all get real and genuine. that letter was genuine, and the words in it make sense, why not just say Amein and thats it. Get something else to do, there is alot of chesed needed to be done, or something else. yut yor zei gezunt and ps if you pick on everything, do you think the Rebbe did that. Aren’t we supposed to think into what WE do?
Why are some people so stubbornly attached to utterly nonsensical labels. Zaki wrote an extremely heartfelt letter and had the courage to shed insight into his hardships. Yet the majority of comments are based on the use of the term “Shlita”. I am ashamed of the lack of intelligence and shameless expression of idiocy. As a community facing catastrophic elements such as divorce, drug abuse, suicide, and molestation, can we not rise to the occasion of acting with a basic sense of integrity. when we face a sincere and serious issue as a community it would be most beneficial if… Read more »
As far as how The Rebbe addressed the FR in private ,no one knows. There are many chassidim who aren’t necessarily “Mishichistim” who simply never changed the nusach after 3 Tamuz.I remember way back it was difficult if not unthinkable to write anything but Shlita. There is no right and wrong here ,it is “Tolei Bhergesh”.
listen, everyone it’s erev roshashana stop saying things like this!
if you don’t have anything nice to say- don’t say it!
And besides stop criticizing his letter! a pan to the Rebbe can be written in way the person is comfortable. it’s not you’r business to say how he should write his letter!
just remember it is Erev Rosh Hashana
Thank you for sharing this letter, it must have been a hard thing for Zaki to do! It is a good wake up call for me at least. We must help the Rabbi’s!
Once he writes Shlita, I’m gone.
it looks like he is writign to the public more than to the rebbe
The simple fact that I saw “Shlita” on the above letter convinced me not to read it.
K’K Admur was enough. Why adding “Shlita” ?
Thank you Rebbe for my health? Ribbono Shel Olam!
We did everything the way the Rebbe wanted (including our beards?)
He really doesn’t get it.
BS:D I am sure the Rebbe was appalled by this letter, who writes to the Rebbe complaining about the Rebbes Chassidim, at the seling of kibudim one year a story was told analogizing a fallen pair of Teffilin to the Jews in a fallen state, the Rebbe did not like that story, for all their accomplishments of openness this is the first Vaad who 2 members wrote public letters complaining about the community, no elected official is needed for that, we do that ourselves quite proficiently thank you, your job is to supply answers not questions,no other Vaad that you… Read more »
i never realized the rabbonim were’nt getting paid. i ask them shailos all the time. i owe them. tell me where to send money.
THE REBBE SHOULD BE ADDRESSED AS REBBE WITHOUT THE SHLITA. WHAT HAPPENED ON GIMMEL TAMMUZ? EITHER LEAVER IT AS REBBE OR ADD ZATZAL. WE NEED THE REBBES ZECHUSIM. ‘ZECHER TZADIK LIVROCHO’
blank paper without lines???
Not sure its a good idea to make a political pun, even if CH residents don’t see through it, the Rebbe certainly will!
Where is the personal avodah here?
Nobody would ever dare talk to the Rebbe in that way.
The Rebbe is not deaf you dont need to ask twice or beg.
When you write a letter to the Rebbe have in mind that the Rebbe will read it.
Just don’t think it was necessary to write in that way.
In the end anyhow a pan is private.
Most have been adding Shlita for decades – as far as I know its a given and nothing to do with post or pre gimmel tammuz – I remember writing it that way too since ’70’s. The shorthand is ok as it comes from an individual to the rebbe – however he/she feels comfortable and that is what the rebbe would have liked. If you nitpik you will find fault with every single matter under the sun. The post is a message period – although I disagree with the content – as I am very disturbed with the hanhoga of… Read more »
yes check out yechidus to rabbi mordechi eliyohu 6 cheshvon 5752
keep the slander and judgement to yourself on erev rosh hashana. YOU are about to be judged by the aibershter.
this is really sad 🙁 tink about the vad 20 years ago would they use this to push an agenda…. we miss you guys
…or perhaps a plain am ha’oretz and doesnt know what shlita means?
it has to be ploy as he write abbreviations and slangs to the rebbe! a chutzpinayak!
whats with the shlita? is that how the rebbe addressed the previous rebbe after yud shvat?
i went to oholei torah so cant read anything that is written here except the first few lines.
But one thing i know for sure is that your pan should be private even if you want to write on behalf of others or your community. its a private pan for taki and he should keep it between him and the rebbe
if he wants to make a pan kloli he can do so and whoever wants should go and sign it
you say less than 10% gave money, but you dont’ say how much was collected and how much is outstanding. Hope this has the positive outcome and wish everyone a kvct
You said it yourself, people are simply appalled by the dislike between the rabonim. It’s a major turn off to see so called fully grown adults bicker.
I hope things change soon.
