This past Thursday night, the Yeshiva University Chabad Club kicked off another year of the “Thursday Night Chassidus Program.”
Every Thursday evening, students from Yeshiva Oholei Torah in Crown Heights travel to YU to learn Chassidus one on one with the students there. During the last few years, the Chabad Club has seen unprecedented growth, rising from a student club that had remained inactive for several years to the largest club at YU.
This week over 40 students from YU participated in the program learning chassidus, enjoying some sushi and leaving a little more inspired then when they came.
“This is a prime opportunity to actualize the Rebbe’s vision of having every Jew learn and understand chassidus, to make it the norm that a Jewish person when fulfilling a mitzvah has an intellectual and emotional connection to that which he does,” says Berel Feldman, one of the organizers.
If you know any YU students that can benefit from this program please email [email protected].
Please consider supporting the Chabad Club in their work to spread the wellsprings of Chassidus in Yeshiva University. Single week sponsorships are also available for $500, and can be done in honor of an individual as well. Contact [email protected] for more information, or Paypal [email protected]
