Young Shluchos’ Exciting Banquet

Over 1000 girls, living on Shlichus in communities large and small all over the world, joined together this weekend for the Kinus Tzeirei Hashluchos – their annual convention in Brooklyn, NY.

Throughout this unique and uplifting convention, the girls created precious memories together as they davened, learned, Farbrenged, and enjoyed trips and fun activities. These memories and moments will accompany each young shlucha as she returns home to her place of shlichus.

On Sunday evening, at the culmination of these three incredible days, the Young Shluchos filled the Campus Chomesh Hall in Crown Heights for their very own Grand Banquet.

MC of the evening was Chaya Friedfertig who welcomed the girls and led the program. The 12 Pesukim, as well as the Rebbe and Rebbetzin’s Kapitel Tehillim, were recited.

With live music accompanied by guest singer Sheina Golomb, the Young Shluchos sang in unison and danced with joy.

The theme of the entire Kinus Tzeirei Hashluchos was the unique and special connection that the Shluchim have with the Rebbe. The banquet highlighted this theme through various songs, videos, and presentations.

Chana Pinson, a young Shlucha from Canada, inspired her friends with a story about her grandparents. In her story, the Rebbe comforts her grandparents, assuring them that their worries and concerns about their children’s chinuch is on the Rebbe’s shoulders.

Hearing about the Rebbe’s constant concern for the upbringing of the children of Shluchim was a comforting and empowering message for all the Young Shluchos.

A highlight of the banquet was a video collage of community members from around the world sharing the influence the young shluchos have on them.

The banquet concluded with the International Roll Call where the countries and states of the young Shluchos were announced.

Many prizes were raffled off as well, including many seforim and books. The incredible team of staff members were presented with a beautiful picture of the Rebbe as a token of appreciation.

After the amazing success of last year’s Neshek campaign, which was launched in memory of Chana Kesselman OBM – a young Shlucha who passed away last year, the campaign was relaunched for this year’s Kinus. Each young Shlucha received a Neshek kit to give out to someone in their community in Chana’s memory. Prizes will be raffled off for those who participate in the campaign.

The Kinus Tzeirei Hashluchos, a project of The Shluchim Office, was directed by Mushky Lipskier, with the banquet’s success thanks to the hard work and dedication of the banquet committee: Rochel Lerman, Mushkie Newman, Sara Rivkin, and Rochel Zalmenov.

A very special thanks goes to Rabbi Benjy Stock and the team at Beis Rivkah (Benny Wolf, Tzvi Fass, Shmiddy, Gil and Co.) who have once again spearheaded the massive effort to host and cater to all the needs of the Kinus Tzeirei Hashluchim, as well as Rabbi Mordechai Shain of Lubavitch on the Palisades – Tenafly, NJ for hosting the Pioneer Division.
