It is with a heavy heart and a plea for help that I write this on behalf of a young child in need. Limor, the mother of 8 children, recently reached out to share her family’s story and the challenges they are facing.
Her 2 year old son, Yonathan, was born with a complex heart defect and has needed various medical treatments in order to allow him to breathe and function as normally as possible. Yonathan has been through a number of intensive treatments, requiring tremendous strength and resources from Limor and her family.
Yonathan’s family is dedicated to helping him get the life-saving treatment that he needs; they’ve put their own money on the line to save his young life, and to keep his heart beating as strongly as possible.
On recommendation from renowned doctors, Limor, Yonathan and family have been in touch with some of the best specialists in the United States, who can help repair the leak and other issues in his heart valve. Without this life saving surgery, it is not clear how good or not so good the prognosis is.
Unfortunately, the surgery must be performed in Boston, Massachusetts, and requires a tremendous amount of costs to make the surgery possible. The expenses for this surgery are too great for the family to bear on their own, and they are turning to you for help and support.
