UPDATE PURIM 2023
Dear Friends,
This is Rabbi Avraham Wolff from Odessa.
It is with great emotion that I thank you for all the support you have given us so far. Thanks to you, we’ve been able to survive the difficult war conditions and continue to hope for the best, praying for this nightmare to end.
Thanks to you, I have the strength to continue to stay here despite the difficulty and to continue helping the sick and elderly who cannot leave, in addition to supporting the members of our community who are in refugee camps in neighboring countries. The hundreds of children from our orphanage are still in Germany temporarily, until the end of this terrible war.
It’s hard for me to describe in words the hardships and suffering we go through every day. The missiles fly over our heads, the alarms don’t stop and the fear of going outside is very real. On top of that, we don’t have a regular electricity supply and we still need generators, heaters and fuel constantly.
In addition to all this, as the holidays of Purim and Pesach are approaching, we need a larger amount of food products, medicines and essential equipment to take care of the needs of the community. In addition to these, we need matzoh, wine, meat and other basic products.
I thank you in advance for all your help. Whether it’s a small donation or a large one, I know it comes straight from the heart – and we appreciate it so much.
Wishing you a happy Purim on behalf of myself and our whole community in Odessa.
Thank you!
