Yeshivas Achei Temimim, under the leadership and direction of Rabbi Levi Tzukernik, has purchased a brand new dormitory building on Sterling Place and Troy Avenue in Brooklyn, New York to house both Crown Heights and out-of-town bochurim.
Yeshivas Achei Temimim (Chovevei Torah) in Crown Heights continues its quest of ‘Maalin Bakodesh’ through the purchase of a new dormitory building. For the past several years, applications to the Yeshiva have grown steadily, and parents have constantly requested more space. The Yeshiva has consistently aimed to accept bochurim who seek to join by expanding its infrastructure while simultaneously maintaining the quality of the Yeshiva experience, b’gashmiyus and b’ruchniyus.
Rabbi Levi Tzukernik explained, “This is an extremely exciting and important development in the evolution of our Yeshiva, as it allows the bochurim to feel that they have a home and belong. Additionally, the amenities of the new Yeshiva dorm will undoubtedly strengthen the achdus among the bochurim.”
The new Yeshiva dorm will house approximately 40 bochurim. It will also feature a dedicated lounge, game room, outdoor BBQ and sitting area, and gym for the bochurim to use.
Rabbi Dovid Losh and Rabbi Yehuda Fenton, Mashpi’im in the Yeshiva, explained: “It is of the utmost importance that our bochurim feel grounded and at home in their Yeshiva experience. These elements directly impact their productivity, sense of belonging, and their ability to improve in their Avodas Hashem. Our Yeshiva has always strived to care for the bochurim on multiple levels of their Yiddishkeit, Chassidishkeit and wellbeing, and this purchase represents another significant step in this direction.”
The Yeshiva extends special Hakoras Hatov to Rabbi Chaim Levilev, financial administrator, for his hard work on this venture, and to Rabbi Moshe Gluckowsky of CYTTL for his tremendous support and help in facilitating the purchase.
