The Jewish world is under attack on many fronts. In the three months following the devastating violence against our brothers and sisters on October 7th, 2,628 anti-Semitic incidents were reported in the US—a number that, in just three months, far outstrips the total number of incidents in 2022.
This is a depressingly familiar cycle, not just in our own lifetimes, but across Jewish history; a period of quiet is followed by a rise in hate, dismissal of Jewish fear and pain, and a refusal to believe in Jewish legitimacy.
The only answer to hatred can be more kindness. The only answer to darkness is more light and the only answer to an attempt to shame is growing in our own pride as yidden.
That’s why Yeshiva Schools is extremely proud to announce our crowdfunding campaign, “Here to Stay.”
Yeshiva Schools has educated thousands of Jewish children since it was founded in 1941. It is equally committed today as then, but faces unprecedented challenges, particularly with regard to the security of our Yeshiva family.
According to CEO & Head of School Rabbi Yossi Rosenblum, “Others may want us to feel fear or shame, but we will not; that’s why we’re asking our alumni and friends to help us continue to spread light, kindness, and Jewish pride. Now more than ever, the world needs to know we’re here to stay.”
