As it nears its 30th anniversary, Yeshivas Lubavitch of Manchester has appointed a new and young Mashpia, Rabbi Foli Dubov.
His role will be inspiring bochurim with a chasidishe chayus, coaching and guiding each one according to his personal needs and potential, COLlive was told.
Dubov is the son of the scholarly author and Shliach Rabbi Nissan D. Dubov of Wimbledon, UK. He graduated from the Lubavitch boys school and Mechina in London and Yeshiva Tomchei Tmimim in Brunoy, France.
Following his learning in the Beis Medrash Oholei Torah in Crown Heights, he was sent on Shlichus to the Toras Emes Yeshiva in Jerusalem, where he became mashpia to many bochurim.
The shiurim he set up at Heichal Menachem in Jerusalem deeply influenced litvish and chassidish bochurim and yungeleit.
After his marriage to Elky Levin, he learned in the Crown Heights Kollel and assisted his father-in-law Rabbi Moshe Chaim Levin of Chabad of Kesington in Brooklyn.
His appointment comes as the yeshiva continues to strive for excellence both b’gashmiyos and b’ruchniyos – a recent government inspection gave the yeshiva a high rating “in achieving the mission the Yeshiva set out to perform.”
Rabbi Dubov joins the able staff led by Rosh Yeshiva Rabbi Akivah Cohen and includes Rabbi Yitschok Klyne, Rabbi Leizer Eidelman, Rabbi Moshe Wolberg and Rabbi Berel Korf.
The dedicated and renowned staff encourage the bochurim to develop their individual learning skills, while focusing on each bochur’s personal development.
The “one on one” talks and chavrusas, which can be seen in the Yeshiva on a daily basis, is augmented by the excellent shiurim and farbrengens offered to the classes as a whole.
It also prides itself with a similar approach b’gashmius. The Yeshiva also encourages its bochurim to get involved with the community in a wide variety of programs, further developing their skills and self esteem.
The Yeshiva is proud to facilitate all logistical aspects of Mivtzoim so the bochurim need not be involved with the prior arrangements and simply devote themselves to benefiting all segments of the Manchester Jewish community.
